I made a delicious salad last week that I'm dying to repeat. I cooked up about 6 slices of bacon and crumbled it into a head of chopped romaine. Then I cooked a package of sliced baby bello mushrooms in the bacon grease. I threw in some sprouts and dug in. It was amazing. Didn't even require dressing! :)
I still have in my head that bacon is bad because of my cholesterol. I use it pretty sparingly, but I REALLY LOVE bacon! Especially on salads. You could throw some raspberries on your salad. I like avocado, too. Almost makes it like you have a creamy dressing, if you like avocados.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah duh, I did that too! Forgot about the avocado. I had a whole avocado chopped up in it. It's hard to set aside what we've believed in all our lives. But as long as our bodies aren't being fueled by cheap carbs, they'll burn fat! Which means to burn fat you need to eat fat. You really need to read The Primal Blueprint!! :)
